    Started April 19th 1775, and ended September 3rd 1783. This was the start of the feud between America and Great Britian. This war lasted 8 years and was one of the longest wars ever recorded.

    Approved on July 4th 1776, and signed on August 2nd 1776. it was the first document of America. This was where the founding fathers signed their signatures to make America united.

    It was purchased on April 30th 1803 from France. It sold for 15 million dollars. It consisted of 827,000 miles of land. This was the first major piece of land purchased in the United States.

    In 1850 California asked to be admitted to the union. The Missouri Compromise had cut California. Congressmen argued over whether Califoria should enter the war as a free or slave state. Henry Clay, the man who worked out the Missouri Compromise, came out of retirement to try to work out another Compromise. The new agreement was called the compromise of 1850.
