    Australia was settled by England in 1770. The English sent their prisoners over by boat, because their prisons had become far too crowded. They sent the prisoners to set up a colony for England.

    The first efficient steam engine was invented by James Watt. There had been other steam engines built previously, but this was the most efficient one built so far.

    The French Revolution changed the way France is today, and it started because of the unfairness of society. The rich were living far too well compared to the working class.

    The first twin track railway line was established, which transported passengers as well as cargo between the two cities. This proved a quick option to get raw goods to different places to be processed.

    The Morse Code was invented by an American srtist, Samuel F.B Morse. It's used as a form of communication, by using dots and dashes to determine the letter or number being sent.

    The Eureka Rebellion, in Ballarat, was started due to unfair taxes, and strict rules with the gold mining in Australia. 27 people were killed in what turned out to be a historic moment for Australia.

    Charles Darwin released his book, detailing how people were evovled through natural selection to what we know today. This gave people a better understanding of science and life,
  • Telephone Invented

    First patented telephone made by Alexander Graham Bell. They were used to talk to people over very large distances. Then it was developed upon by many others, into the telephone we know today, which is one of the most used small appliances in the world.

    The first skyscraper in Chicago, which is ten stories tall is built. Skyscrapers have improved to huge heights nowadays, and are a part of normal life in some cities.

    The Model T Ford was the first vehicle produced on an assembly line, allowing many more people access to cars, and a whole lot more produced.

    This was the start of the first World War, and nearly the whole world got involved in it. Many people were killed, and technology development got a huge kickstart.
