Arirham Darby made the first coke iron. this is a break through in the makeing and production of iron. Coke is a type of fule for a furnus much like coal. But the iron made with coal was too brittle. To show the amazing strength of this new iron he make the first iron bridge which was a massive torrist atracttion. this new type of iron made all the factories possible.

He created the first steam engine which was used to pump water out of the mines. James Watt, bettered the Newcomen model.
