After years of poverty, alone and uncertain, he now had a sense of belonging and purpose. He and many others thought it was going to be a short war but it wasn't sp they got enough action and thats exzctly what they wanted. -
Treaty of Versailles
The Treaty of Versailles was a peace settlement after World War I (WWI). It was signed at Versailles Palace near Paris. It was signed after a lot of argument and negotiation amongst the so-called "Big Three" as to what the treaty should contain. The "Big Three" are David Lloyd George of Britain, Clemenceau of France and Woodrow Wilson of America. -
When Nazi Party is formed
Hitler got this party to suceed after he joined the German Workers.The German Workers' Party consisted mainly of an executive committee which had seven members, including Hitler.They wanted more members so they made invatations and each member gave invatations to their friends to come to the meeting. -
Hitler becomes leader of the Nazi Party
The Nazi Party was centered in Munich and Hitler was started to become really popular every time he would stand in front of huge crowds and speak to them. -

Treason is the offense of acting to overthrow one's government or to harm or kill its sovereign and thats exactly what he wanted to do and he admitted it in front of the court. -
Mein Kampf is written
Mein Kampf was a book he wrote. Mein Kampf means my struggle. It was longer but his publisher just narrowed it down to just that title. The book is a mixture of autobiography, political ideas and an explanation of the techniques of propaganda. -

A ton of people were investing in this market but this market had a reputation that it wasn't going to go well and its going to be a risky investment. So as people kept investing their money the stock prices got higher. Then stock market boom began and changed the way investors viewed the stock market. -

President Paul von Hindenburg was the preisident they had at the moment while the election was going. He was 84 years old and had poor health and wanted to resign after first term. But once he heard that Hitler was running he went into the election himself. Hitler hoped to use the presidency to overturn the Weimar constitution and establish a dictatorship. -

The Reichstag building burned down due to a law called Arson. Which is to burn ones house or property to collect insurance. The government declared that the fire was unture becuase it was part of the Communist effort to over throw the state. -

There were six parties and as we know the Nazis were the ones that got elected in the Reichstag. In my research in early Feburary of that year the Nazis "unleashed a campaign of violence and terror that dwarfed anything seen so far." -
Hitler becomes Dictator of Germany
There was a cabinet meeting held during which Hitler and Göring discussed how to obstruct what was left of the democratic process to get an Enabling Act passed by the Reichstag. This law would hand over the constitutional functions of the Reichstag to Hitler, including the power to make laws, control the budget and approve treaties with foreign governments. At this point in time Dictatorship for Hitler was in reach meaning easy to get it now.
