  • The First Principal Of Television

    Sourced From The first principal required for the invention to follow, television, was for an image to be transmitted over wire. Paul Nipkow was the the first inventor to discover and understand the scanning principal which allows for images to be transmitted onto a screen.

    Sourced from The new technoloy that is television was used as an experimental tool during the second world war. During the years 1942-1944 during Nazi occupied France, German forces broadcasted from Paris via the Eiffel tower.

    Sourced from During the late 1940's through to the 1950's the American market pioneered the introduction of televisions into the homes of average American families. NBC was the first major network to broadcast, closely followed by DuMont and later CBS and ABC.

The technology then becme standard on most TVs after this time only to be replaced in later years with digital tv guides.

    Sourced from The 1990's saw the introduction of cable television. This product allowed for the viewing of a greater number of channels and featured many long running shows.
  • Plasma Televisions

    Sourced from Although the plasma screen technology was developed in the mid 60's the first plasma TV was introduced for sale to the public in 1997. The Panasonic flatscreen featured a 60inch display.
  • Internet TV
