Nintendo was founded as Yamauchi Nintendo in Japan.

1972-1992
This is when they became a video game developer and manufacturer.
Nintendo manufactured Arcade games and the first Nintendo Game console so people could in joy playing video games in their homes. -
1966-1972
The company was having hard times in the 60s as a toy company.
They developed a few electric toys like the Light Gun and a Drum machines. -
1989–1995: Game Boy, Super Nintendo Entertainment System, and Virtual Boy eras
In the early 90; s Nintendo developed a handheld game system call Gameboy.
This made it possible for people to take the games with them wherever they wanted to play games like Tetris, Mario Brothers. -
Today
Today Nintendo is one of the 3 largest game companies in the world.
Coming from a card company to a billion dollar a year video game manufacturing company well over 100 years old.
They are building a museum in the first plant where the company was founded called "Nintendo Gallery".
