    Johannes Gutenberg created the printing press by casting individual letters in iron and moving them around in order to copy pages of the bible. It took him two years to complete copying the sacred book.

    The printing press was used to get the news of Christopher Colombus' findings to the catholic monarchs of Spain at the time. More than 1000 copies were created.
