Talkies was a short Musical Film produced by the Warner Bros. that also features many bands, vocalists and dancers. This short music film was also animated and introduced a sing alog of short cartoons called screen songs that everyone gathered to see.

St. Louis Blues was first showcased in cinemas around 1932 and was also one of the first music videos created. The idea of music videos at the time were to promote the sale of music recordings.

Tony Bennett says in his autobigraphy that he created the first music video in Hyde Park in London in 1956 when he was recording a song called 'Stranger in Paradise' which was then sent to UK and US telivision stations to be aired. In 1957, Elvis Presley recorded a music video for a song called Jailhouse Rock. This was shown in black and white even though the original was engraved in colour.

MTV was first aired im 1981 which provided you with all the latest music videos. The first video shown was 'Video Killed The Radio Star' and was a real break through in the evolution of music videos.
