    Hitler's Early Life
    Adolf Hitler was born on April 20th, 1889 in Braunau am Inn, Austria into a family of six. His parents were Alois and Klara Hitler. Hitler's childhood was not a very happy one, his father was an alcoholic and showed restentment towards young Hitler. He later dropped out of school when his father died in 1903.

    After he was sent to Landsberg Prison in December of 1924, Hitler wrote his book called "Mein Kampf", which defines his political ideology and explains his future plans for Germany.The book was very racial towards Jews, calling them "parasites", and it also explains that the White Aryan Race is superior to all. This book was significant because people quickly became interested in Hitler's ideas after its publication in July,1925

    On March 12th, 1930 Gandhi and his followers marched 240 miles from Ahmadabad to the Arabian Sea, because people were forced to pay a high tax on salt, 60.000 people were later arrested including Gandhi. This event was significant because it gained worldwide attention, which gave momentum to the Indian Independence Movement.

  • New Alliances

    New Alliances
    After becoming Chancellor, Hitler signed the Pact of Steel on May 1939, which is an alliance between Germany and Italy, Japan joins in later, renaming it into the Tripartite Pact, then on August, Hitler signed the non-aggression pact with the USSR, forming their alliance. This was significant because not only Nazi Germany, Fascist Italy and Imperial Japan were able to conquer the much of Europe, Asia, and Africa, but the USSR joins the Allies to fight the Axis.

    On September 1st, 1939, Hitler invades Poland so he could secure the living space of the German people, and he clearly states that he would in "Mein Kampf". Britain and France were not pleased with this, so they declared war on Germany after they refused to leave. This event was significant because the invasion of Poland marked the beginning of World War II.

  • Operation Barbarossa

    Operation Barbarossa
    In 1941, Hitler started Operation Barbarossa,which was code name for the Nazi invasion of the Soviet Union, it became a turning point of the war after Hitler suffered a major defeat at Stalingrad. This was significant it marked the beginning of the end of the Third Reich, by going to war with the USSR, Hitler was fighting a two-front war with Britain and France which he could never win.

    D-Day
    On June 6th, 1944 the Allies attacked the beaches of Normandy France, this was another major loss for Hitler, this day became known as D-Day and was another turning point of the war. This event was significant because the Allies were able to push back the Nazis out of France, surrounding them.

  • The Death of a Führer

    The Death of a Führer
    After D-day, Paris was liberated and the U.S patrols German border. Many high ranking Nazi officials was put on trial and charged for war crimes, to avoid the Nuremburg trials Hitler committed suicide along with his newly-wedded wife, Eva Braun on April 30th, 1945. This was significant because the Nazi party finally came to an end, along with World War II.
