    Students are using technology daily to explore, create and present. All students (including special education) have been trained in Google Apps and can effectively use them to communicate with their teacher.

    Ridgemoor Transformation into a 21st Century School

  • Summer Training

    One teacher from every grade level will attend the CUE conference. As a team (including administrator) we will create a plan for the next three years to support 21st Century Learning!
  • Year 2

    6 highly trained teachers who can provide coaching for students and staff on new highly effective programs. 5th grade will take devices home and complete all homework using Google Classroom. Afterschool programs will be available at all grade levels to teach advanced technology skills. A coding club will be started and students in grades 3-5 will have the opportunity to join.
  • Year 3

    All assignments will be shared online (grades 3-5) and students will learn how to use apps to create and present information. Coding will be part of the curriculum in 4th and 5th grade. We will start an advanced coding group that will also research careers that involve coding skills. This group will present to classmates. A small student group will create a newscast to support school communication using a variety of technology tools. Two more teachers will be trained as experts.
  • Year 4

    Ridgemoor Elementary will be a school providing 21st century learning experiences in grades TK-5 (including special education). Staff will be highly trained in Splashtop, online apps, Google Classroom and Haiku as they facilitate learning. Students will work collaboratively on projects using Google Drive. All staff will use Google Classroom to support communication with students and parents. 1:1 will be present in every grade level with teacher teams isolating technology goals at every grade.
