An earthquake caused a tsunami to hit Fukushima which caused it to flood killing the power and destroying the generators causing the reactors to overheat. Which then caused them to explode destroying the buildings around them injuring and killing many workers. This then threw radioactive material into the ocean and the rest of Fukushima evactuating everyone in a 10 mile radius. Which has turned Fukushima into a ghost town.
