An earthquake caused a tsunami to hit Fukushima which caused it to flood killing the power and destroying the generators causing the reactors to overheat. Which then caused them to explode destroying the buildings around them injuring and killing many workers. This then threw radioactive material into the ocean and the rest of Fukushima evactuating everyone in a 10 mile radius. Which has turned Fukushima into a ghost town. -

How this disaster is important
This disaster is important because it destroyed local aqua life and it caused the entire Fukushima area to be evacuated and it caused it to become a ghost town. -
Start of the incident
A 9.0 earthquake hit northeastern Japan and caused massive flooding and flooded the Fukushima Daiichi Power Plant. -
Leak
During the explosion it released radioactive material into the ocean and it traveled all the way from northeastern Japan to western North America. -
