Henson was still by the lead because they couldn't cross and the ice was still not hard enough.

Peary and Henson caught up with Bartlett by a lead and later in the night Bartlett got seperated from the group and jumped back over.

Bartlett turned back bacause he knew that Henson would make it to the North Pole so they repaired the sledges and relaxed.

At 6:00 a.m. the next morning Peary took more observations and then crisscrossed an area of 8 by 10.

Henson and Peary raced off again before midnight with 35 miles to go.

Peary and Henson had reurned from Cape Columbia. Peary and Henson made it to the North Pole.
