    The Tricycle
    The tricycle was the start of the bicycle. It had three wheels with one seat for a person to sit on. The manufacturers made them for both children and adults.     The Hobby Horse
    In 1817, the Horsehobby was invented. Also called the Draisienne, it was built with no pedals, springs, or brakes. It was based off of technology that was used for horse-drawn carriages.   • The Velocipede

    The Velocipede
    The Velocipede or also known as the Boneshaker was made in 1863 by Pierre and Ernest Michaux. It was made of still materials such as steel wheels and was given the name boneshaker because it literally shook your bones while riding over cobblestones with it.     The  Ordinary
    The Ordinary was much more comfortable to ride than the previous bikes. It was built in 1870 by a man named James Starley. The pedals were still attached to the front wheels. It became a much smoother ride for people because the tires were solid rubber and and there were long spokes on the large front wheel. This machine was the first object called a bicycle. (n.d.).   • The Safety Bike

    The Safety Bike
    The Safety Bike was invented by James Starley and his family in 1890. This bike was much safer than the previous bikes invented.     The kids bike was invented just after the first world war I by a couple manufacturers. There names are Mead, Sears Roebuck, and Montgomery Ward.
