    William Lloyd Garrison starts the anti-salvery newspaper ; The Liberator
    January 1, 1837, The Liberator a famous newspaper created by William Llyod Garrison is about how slavery is unjust. Garrison demanded, "I will be as harsh as the truth" in other words, Americans are ill-treating slaves at that time plus, makeing them to do all their work, Grarrison wants to remind Americans that it is not right for them to treat slaves like that. Last issue of The Liberator came out in December 29, 1865 because Pro-slavery groups destroyed William Lloyd's house.

    Horace Mann attended school only ten weeks a year. Times where he didn't go to school he would work on his family farm. Back then, in the 1800's Mann was lucky to even have a chance to go to school because the chances were very limited. Unfortunately, Horace Mann was born in a poor family ,so he could not get a seat in a private school, or hire a tutor. Horace Mann wanted children to have more time in school, plus gain more education to not become bad kids

    Oberlin College was the first college in the U.S.A to accept woman, as well as men. Other states started public schools accepting woman in 1860s. Four woman who were the frist people to enter the college were : Mary Kellogg (Fairchild),Mary Calorina Rudd, Mary Hosford, and Elizabeth Prall.

    Luceria Mott and Elizabeth Candy Stanton met in 1840 at an Anti-Slavery world covention in London. As soon as these two women arrived they discovered that, the women were not allowed to speak their ideas at the convention, or even sit in the seats in front of the play. Men forced Women to sit in the back of the curtin in the balcony. While the two woman were behind the curtin in the balcony they dicided it is time to change how woman were treated.

    When Dorothea Dix was willing to teach Sunday School in jail, only the instant she arrived their, she regreted it. As, Dorothea Dix saw mentally ill people get wippied, and be in the same jail as prisoners she felt bad. The same time when Dorothea Dix saw prisoners have creul punishment like haveing a hot Iron branded on their body, she finnaly spoke up, as well as conducted a capaign, in time the U.S government made changes to these jails,and added more mental hospitals

    300 people participate in Seneca Falls confrence
    Seneca Falls Convention included 300 people, but only 40 men. At the convention Quaker woman would stand up to express their fellings toward men treating them like slaves. One speaker Charlotte Woodward, was a 19-year-old and stated " aganist all the hours that I sat and sewed gloves for a miserable pittance which after it was earned, could never be mine". Charlotte Woodward is saying that even if she worked so hard on making gloves she couldn't wear them.
