War was officially declared on 9th December 1941. It can be put in three phases. Japan's fast advance until 1938, stalemate until 1944, and the Allies' attack made Japan quit.

    During the happening of the Sino-Japanese War, Nanjing, China's capital city, loses to Japan, and the government of China travels to Hankow, along the Yangtze river. In order to break the resistance's spirit, Matsui Iwane, the Japanese general stated that Nanjing must be burnt down. Burned it was, and troops of Japan launched an atrocious campaign vs. civilians.

    Blitzkrieg, aka "Lightning War," was an offensive warfare method which helped Germany to succeed in the first years of WWII. When tank forces were combined, infantry and artillery became motorized, those things absolutely destroyed defense on a front.

    On 1st September 1939, forces in Germany surrounded Poland on foot and in the sky, as the communist leader Adolf Hitler looks to seek revenge, regain lost ground, and take control of Poland. This was the start of the iconic World War 2. This invasion was an example of how Adolf intended to declare war--now known as a "blitzkrieg."

    On the morning of 7th December 1941, a sneak attack was launched on the Pearl Harbor base by Japan. This attack tried to get rid of the challenges to the conquest of Japan in Asia. It also made the US enter WWII.

    Around 75K troops from the Philippines and America made a 65-mile walk to prison camps after the 9th April 1942 surrendering of the Bataan Peninsula on the main island in the Philippine Luzon island to Japan in WWII. They did all this in hot weather and all the while they were being tortured by the Japan guards. Thousands died from this atrocity.
