    Jane wasn't pregnant until the end of 1537. In October, their son was born at Hampton Court Palace. The baby's name was Edward. Jane went to her son's christening, even though she was very weak. She died on October 24th her son Edward was only 2 weeks old.

By November 1541, there was enough evidence against the Queen that Archbishop Cranmer informed the King of Kathryn's misconduct. At first Henry did not believe the accusations, but he agreed to allow further investigations into the matter. Enough evidence was found that the Queen had been not trustworthy before her marriage or after. She was executed on the Tower Green.

    Henry VIII died in January 1547 Only a few months after Henry’s death, Katherine secretly married Thomas Seymour, but the secret caused a scandal. After three marriages and at 36, Katherine was pregnant for the first time and she moved to Sudeley Castle in Gloucestershire to wait for her child to be born. On August 30th she gave birth to a daughter named Mary. Katherine soon became ill with puerperal fever, which claimed her life on September 5, 1548. Her tomb can still be vistied today

    Mary became queen in 1553 and in 1554 Mary married King Philip II of Spain. Mary was eleven years older than Philip. The English Parliament refused to crown him jointly with Mary so he had little power in England. Shortly after their marriage Queen Mary I, Mary Tudor, announced she was pregnant but it was a false pregnancy. Protestants were persecuted and 300 are burnt at the stake Queen Mary I died on November 17, 1558

England prospered during the reign of Elizabeth and new lands were explored in the New World.During her reign the great Spanish Armada was defeated and England remained safe from foreign invasion.Queen Elizabeth I died 24 March 1603 from blood poisoning and was referred to as the greatest of all England's Kings and Queens.
