    The United States dropped two nuclear bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The bombs were dropped to end World War II. The bombs were dropped on August 6 and 9 of 1945.

  • Berlin Blockade Enforced

    The Berlin Blockade was enforced to cut off all land and river transit between West Berlin and West Germany. The Berlin Blockade lasted from June 24, 1948 - May 12 1949.
