    It happened at Charleston Harbor in South Carolina. The beginning of the war. It encouraged a lot of Northerners to join the Union army. The Confederates won, it was an easy victory for them.
  • Bull Run

    It made it clear to the Union that they wouldnt win easily. The Union retreated, therefore the Confederates won. It took place in Western Virginia.
  • Fort Danselson

    The Confederates surrendered. It happened at Cumberland River in Tennesse. It was a difficult win for the Union.
  • Shiloh

    It was considered the beginning of "total war". The Union won and it was a difficult battle. It happened in Shiloh Southwestern Tenesee.
  • Shenandoah

    The Confederates captured the Union prisoners and 10,000 of thier rifles, and they won. It happened at Shenandoah Valley.
  • Gettysburg

    The South (Confederates) lost thier confidence, and the Union won, it was a difficult battle. It happened at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
  • Fort Wagner

    The North Realized that the slaves could help them. The Union won, and it was easy. It happened at Fort Wagner, Charleston Harbor.
  • Appomattox Courthouse

    Confederates were hungry and tired and demoralized. The Confederates surrendered, so the Union won, it was an easy battle. It happened at the Appomattox Courthouse.
