    The southern states- South Carolina, Mississpi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Louisiana, and Texas all leave to go be independent. The south gets to fight on their land which is an advantage.

    Robert Lee was asked to lead the Union but turned it down because he wanted to fight for his native Virginia. This hurts the Union and made the South gain a great leader.
