  • Abraham Lincoln's election

    Abrahams election was one of the reasons the South decided to flee the Union and ecome The Confederate States of America. Lincoln and the Union did not like the fact that the Union had been seperated. They had an uprising against the South and started the Civil War
  • The Attack on Fort Sumter

    The Confederates attacked Fort Sumter attempting to make it part of the Confederacy. The Commander defending the fort had a shortage on ammunition. Lincoln knew that if he sent supply ships, the Confederates would attack them. Fort Sumter did eventually run out of ammo and they had no option but to surrender.
  • The Battle of Bull Run

    The battle of Bull Run was the first battle of the Civil War. It was also called the first battle of Manasas. The Union expected to bring an early deafeat on the Confederates after the attack on Fort Sumter. Little did they know that the Confederates were giong to put up a fight to create a nightmare for all the soldiers involved. Shortly after the Union had a advantage on the Union, the Confederates led a strong attack on the Union leaving the Yankees with no option but to retreat.
  • The Battle of Antietam

    Also known as The Battle of Sharpsburg, this battle occured on Northern Soil. The Union lunged a heavy attack onto the Rebels leaving the Confederates with a disadvantage. Lee did still put up a fight leading to the failure of destroying Lee's army. Although the Yankees had not won, they had not been defeated either.
  • The battle of Chancellorville

    This conflict was started when the Union was trying to raid Lee's supply lines near Rappahannock River. The Union attacked his supply line from the front and back and took out about one fifth of his army. Lee divided his army again to attack the Union from different locations. The Confederates took out one of the Unions armies and then destroyed the other. In Which the Cinfederates had their victory.
  • The Battle of Gettysburg

    The Battle of Gettysburg was one of the spots that Lee had planned to defeat the Union as well as Harrisburg, Pennsylvania or even Philadelphia. Along with the fact that the Union was suffering loss of soldiers, the army held their line no matter what. Again the result ended with the Confederates making their families proud. This war had suffered more casulties than any other in the Civil War.
  • The Civil War is over

    The cruelest and bloodiest battle in U.S. history was finally over. Lee's army had failed to win the war leaving the Union with a victory. After this, slavery was finally illegal in all states
