    The British is taxing the colonists for sugar, rum, molasses, and sugar. This was passed to help pay off the the British's war debut. This act also helped to prevent smuggling of goods into the colonies.
  • Quartering Act

    Quartering Act
    The British soldiers could go into any home and get shelter, food, water, and any necessary goods from the colonists. This act was passed to protect colonial interest. The way for King George to protect the colonial interest he send British soldiers over to the colonies.
  • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act
    All the paper products and paper based products will be taxed.This act was passed to take a different approach on taxing the colonists. Some items that were taxed were dice and paper.
  • Townshend Act

    Townshend Act
    Items such as glass, red leads, white leads and more were to be taxed once it was imported. This act helped prevent smuggling of the taxed goods. The soldiers could search houses if they feel that didn't pay their taxes.
  • Tea Act

    Tea Act
    The British wanted to help the East India company form going bankrupt. They taxed the colonists for tea would be taxed. To sell tea, you would needed a get tea license.
  • Boston Port Act

    Boston Port Act
    After the colonists dumped the tea the British passed this act so the colonists can't load the cargo and ship goods. This was designed to punished the colonists for dumping the tea until the tea taxes was paid. The colonists were angry because they got taxed for what they thought was doing the right thing.

    The colonists can't have a meeting without a governor supervision. The Governor had to be loyal to Britain. The Governor also couldn't have a criminal record.
  • Quebec Act

    Quebec Act
    The British extended their territory to Quebec's land. The British gained land, people. Since the British gained more people they gained the people's taxes.
