In the cold war the battleships were decreasing but some of them were still in service. Most of the battleships were replaced by missile ships and aircraft carriers in case America had to bomb the soviets. -
the gulf war
During the gulf war there were only 2 battleships in service. The USS Missouri and the USS Iowa. The rest of the entire ship fleet were submarines, aircraft carriers, destroyers, and troop ships. -
The battleship legacy ends
The battleships are no longer used, now battleships that are still alive are museum ships. From the Pacific in WWII to the Gulf War. the Battleship was a very powerful warship and is really one of the most brutal ships in the history of man.
