    The French began to build forts in the Ohio River valley, which the British colonists saw as an attack. The British colonists had help from their native American allies. The British army made their way to Canada to help attack the French. The British ended up defeating the French, and continued to take their land.

    Parliament decided the colonists should help pay for the French and Indian War. England enforced the tax. The colonists were taxed on many goods. The colonists weren't very happy about being taxed.

    It was made to raise money for soldiers. Almost everything written or printed required a stamp. The colonists disliked the Stamp Act. The colonists didn't see why they had to pay for stamps.

    The act affected trade in the colonies. Many things were being taxed. Lead, glass, paint, and tea were being taxed. The colonists began to boycott the taxed products.

    British sentries shot into a crowd of civilians. Five people were killed. It wasn't really a massacre. The British sentries weren't charged with anything.

    It allowed the British to sell tea at a low price. The colonists still had to pay the tax. Colonial merchants couldn't compete with the low prices. The tea act led to The Boston Tea Party.
