    In the sugar act Britain put taxes on sugar and molasses

    Britain put taxes on stamps and papered goods

  • Quartering act

    This act stated that colonists had to house British troops

  • Townshend act

    Britain put taxes on led paper paint and glass

  • Boston massacre

    Colonists were picking on a British soldier and what started as a snowball fight ended as 5 people getting killed

  • Proclamation line of 1773

    Britain pretty much told the colonists that they couldn't live in the land that they fought for

  • The Boston tea party

    Colonists were upset at the British for the recent taxes on tea so a group of them dressed up as native Americans and dumped tons of tea off the boat

  • Intolerable act

  • Battles of concord and Lexington

    900 British troops went up against 60 militia men

  • Declaring independence

    America declared its independence from Britain
