French and Indian War
The French and Indian War was between French along with he Indians and the British. The war reulted in a victory for the British. What the winning side won all of France's land. This was a cause for the Amerian revolution because Britain taxed the colonies to pay for the debts. -
Proclamation of 1763
The Proclamation of 1763 gave the Western land to the Native Americans.The British decided to do this because they were able to avoid wars, protect the western land fur trade, and keep the land speculation under the control of the crown. The colonists were upset about this b/c they wanted the land and thought little of the Indians. -
Stamp Act
It taxed paper (newspaper, legal document, licenses). The British passed the law because they needed to pay off the debt from the French and Indian war. This upset the colonists were upset about this because they didn't think it was fair to only tax them on something the had been doing for free for years. -
Battle of Kettle Creek
The Patriots, led by Elijah Clarke, won the Battle of Kettle Creek. Austin Dabney was the only black soldier to fight. He recieved a huge piece of land for his efforts. -
Declaration of Independence
Thomas Jefferson was the main person ton write it. It says that the United States of America are no longer under British rule and they are their own country. Lyman Hall, George Walton, and Button Gwinnett were the three men from Georgia to sign it. -
Siege of Savannah
The Britsh had control of Savannah. France fought with the Patriots in this battle. The Patriots lost. -

Quebec Act: Made effectual Provision for the gov't of the Province of Quebec.
