SONY WALKMAN
The Walkman allowed to obtain sound quality, similar to that of a home equipment, without being so bulky. The wide spread of the walkman also radically changed the turntable business and gave the first blow to the vinyl record, since the cassette was easier to reproduce and cheaper. The walkman is a symbol of the 80s. -
MUSIC CASSETE
It consists of a strip of plastic of fine thickness to be flexible and elongated, so much that it can reach several meters in length. This plastic strip has a thin layer of magnetic material that will store the data when the magnetic poles are oriented thanks to the action of a reader / writer head. This tape is protected by a rectangular and flat plastic box that has two spinning coils that are attached to both ends of the tape (the plastic strip). -
VHS CASSETTE
Home video system "(VHS) is an analog recording format developed by JVC in 1976. The system uses a half-inch-wide (1.2 cm) magnetic tape and can record up to six hours of video content with 240 horizontal lines and 486 vertical resolution lines, as well as a stereo sound track.The format was designed to be cheap, easy to use and compatible with a wide range of video cameras and cassette players, and by the 1990s it was the dominant video standard in the global market.
