I don't know when we got our first computer, but it was early on in my life. I remember the screen had a greenish tint, the fonts were old-looking, and we played this game on it where you went into a mountain and flashed robots with a flashlight to zap 'em. -

I bought my first two CDs when I was 12. One was Christina Aguilera's Genie in a Bottle and the other was Maria Carey's Butterfly. -
Family got a car cell phone
Our very first cell phone was kept in a case in our car, for emergency purposes. One day while on a trip, our car overheated and we parked it off an off-ramp while we all went somewhere (auto parts store?). When we came back, someone had broken into our car to steal our cell phone! -

My parents got me an iPod to listen to music while I was on my mission. -

We thought I'd need a laptop as a teacher, so I got a 17" screen mega laptop that had a number pad for inputting grades. -
Got an iPad
I wrote a grant for half an iPad and my principal paid for the other half. I got to use it at school and for personal use. :)
