District continues to transfer previous years’ data from old SIS to set up new SIS.

Complete renewal of GIZMOS by Explore Learning (paid science virtual lab activity site) and make sure licenses are purchased and registration keys are distributed to all site leads and administrators.

Administration, teachers, and staff are aware of the direction of tech for the school site and district. They are guided by the site and district technology visions.

Courses are set up in LMS and ready for teachers to customize. Courses will not have students or be live until the first day of school.

Provide training on GIZMOS for all new teachers. Operations cost includes paying for substitutes for those teachers during training.

During the week prior to school starting, teachers are given at least one full day, including pay, of time to create curriculum for their LMS courses.

Conduct a “Share-a-Thon” where teachers from different content areas sign up to present an app or a tech tip in 5 minutes or less to their fellow teachers.

Site curriculum specialists determine a common digital literacy or digital citizenship task that the entire school community can work together on accomplishing.

Training is provided for counselors and registrars on new SIS.

New SIS is rolled out to the counselors and registrars for implementation for FALL 2016.

Teacher iPads will be updated for those with iPads older than 3 years.
