Mills V. Board of Education was a lawsuit that helped build the foundation for Section 504 of the Rehabilitation of 1973 and the EAHCA (Mead, n.d.). This lawsuit was based on the school system and the insufficient funds and poor administration. -

Every Student Succeeds Act
The purpose of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) is to set guidelines for public schools to provides students with a quality education for all students (Lee, n.d.). It helps create education plans for the students that must includ annual testing, school accountability, academic standards, state and local report cards, and plans for supporting and improving struggling schools (Lee, n.d.) -
