    Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin were the first humans to take steps on the moon. They were launched up there by the spacecraft Apollo 11. This was a huge success for the U.S. Neil Armstrong is famous for his quote, "This is one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind."
