General Henry Knox, the officer in command signed it.Colonel Henry Jackson and General John Patterson filed certificates attesting to Shurtliff's bravery and loyalty. This book is a really good example of the essential question, because Deb set an example for a bunch of woman and started paving the road to woman's rights. This is a true story!
