They also broke the convention of how long the music video could be. At this time artists started to see them selves as Video artists just as much as Musical ones. -

The thriller music video was 15 minutes long and was created by a director that specialised in horror movies. Was treated like a real film and was aired after the watershed (9pm) on TV. -
Sledgehammer - Peter Gabrial
This music video was stop-motion and animation with Peter Gabrial laying under a clear sheet of plastic. It was created and directed by the same man who created Wallace and Gromit, Nick Park. -
Like A Prayer - Madonna
This music video cause contravercy as Madonna used things that caused outlash. In the video there is religious iconography and sexual metaphors, which shocked some people. -
Sabotage - Beastie Boys
this music video is in the top 10 greatest music ideos of altime, because it was so different to what had benn done before. They do a parody of a 70s police drama, using slow motion, action moves and jumping over buildings everywhere. -
Everlong - Foo Fighters
This music video, and others of this time and onwards to now, started to use a narritave(story) and made it funny. They use lots of different editing techniques as the technology of computers and cameras improve so they can do better quality music videos.
