500 years ago Captain Cook came in the great endevour came to New Zealand thinking he was the first one there. But he was wrong the Polynesians were already there. He didn't know though. He went back to his home and told every one about this new land. First it was the wailers and then it was the early settlers. 170 years ago in 1851 the Americas cup was created and it has been the oldest cup ever since.
