Game Freak development
Developed the magazine 'Game Freak" Game Freak was a self-published video game magazine created by Satoshi Tajiri and Ken Sugimori. The two men later went on to start a video game company with the same name. -
Release date
Tajiri first thought of Pokémon in 1990. He came up with the idea when he saw a Game Boy and their ability to communicate between other Game Boys and thought that the game would be a hit on game boy which was popular at that time. Pokémon Red and Blue took six years to produce. -
Award
Tajiri, along with Tsunekazu Ishihara, received the Special Award from the CEDC conference in 2011.
