- For Jews, a holy location is the western wall. This is believed to be the old temple remains of a temple used by the people in their scripture, the Torah. People write messages to god and put it into the cracks in the wall, believing that god will read it.

- The fundemental belief of Hinduism is that everything is god. The universe is god. Also, those who practice hinduism believe in reincarnation and that depending on your behavior during life, you can move up and down the cast system.

- For muslims, a sacred location is the Ka'abad. It was said to be built by Abraham and his sons. Muhammed repurposed it. It is now a holy location that every muslim tries to visit at least once in their lifetime.

4a. The Partition of India. England had given up its control of India due to a lack of funds which led to fighting between the two main religions (at that time) of India, Islam and Hinduism. They both wanted control of the land. However, the Hindus won and the muslims moved to Pakistan while the Hindus stayed in India.
