Santago School 1:1 Device Implementation Plan

    Teachers plan the incorporation and use of 1:1 device program in their departments. Ongoing professional development and lead teachers develop strategies for implementing the device program in classrooms. Teachers and Administrators work to fine-tune student use and expectation. School staff monitors student adherence to authorized use agreements.

  • Infrastructure Monitoring and Testing

    District tech department will install, test and monitor access points throughout school classrooms and main office areas.
  • Device Purchase and Site Manager of App Licences Established

    Ipad mini purchases for staff and students including vga adapters, cases, and charging carts.
  • Summer Technology Professional Development

    Summer professional development including ipad training for teachers, administrators and technical staff. Summer curriculum development and technology integration strategies.
  • Parent Meetings

    Parent meetings to explain the 1:1 device program and its features at the school site.
  • Student iPad Bootcamp

    Digital citizenship coursework to be completed. Parent forms and contracts to be signed and turned in. Distribution of student ipads- staged release model to be developed and managed through homerooom.
  • Technology Support and Program Assesment

    IT department meets with school staff and teachers to evaluate the implementation of the site 1:1 device program. Assessment of site bandwidth and accessibility are completed. Stakeholders meet to discuss the highlights and problems asociated with the device program.
