    The Irish and the Germans were some of the first immagrants to come over. The Irish came over because of famine and poverty with the Potato Famine. The Germans came over because of the politics in Germany at the time. This was an Important event in US history because there over 5 milliion immagrants that came over filling jobs and postions in the United States workforce.

    This was an important event in U.S history because it marked th real big gathering that started the campian for Woman's Suffrage. It was held at Sencaa Falls, New York and rallied a lot of woman to state thier case. It contiued to grow and soon a union was formed.

    Child labor happened durring the mid 1800's. It ended on June 25, 1938. This was due to the Fair Standards Act. The act prohibited any one under the age of 18 to work in manufactoring or any other dangerous law. Some of these jobs were mining, factories, sweetshops, and agriculture.

    These people are very importat in the United States because they were the people that built the railrods throughout the west again building the econmy and making the US citizens able to get goods across the contry. Which was an important factor in the Indstrial Revolution.

    The Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882 was important because it was the first act against imigrants comming to the U.S. The act prohibited any Chinese immigrants from coming to the U.S. The reason behind this act was the chinese were taking the U.S. citizens jobs. Many politcis believed that this was the only way to fix the problem of lack of jobs in the U.S.

With the invention of the production line items could be made quicker and cheeper. This was known as "Mass Production"

    The Triangle Shirt Waist Factory fire was very impportant because it was a leading cause towards many work saftey regulations. 146 woman died in this fire because there were no regulations. This event caused the American Government to set laws about regulations. Some of these reguations are room capacity, fire alarms, and fire escapes. Today many lives have been saved because of this fire.

    This is important because it lead the way to banning immagrants from more things, for example this let congerss pass the 1924 act on immagrants. This also added things such as Lieracy tests and things that made it very difficult to get into the USA

    The Nineteenth Amendment
    On 26 August, 1920 the Nienteenth Amendment was ratified. It made it so no matter the gender, you can't be denied the right to vote. Women have been protesting from the begining of the colonies for the right to vote. Until 1920 they wern't allowed to vote. Many celebrated this act by throwing partys.
