    Tutsi guerrillas begin a new offinsive. They reach the outskirts of the capital...again the French are called in to help the govt.

    President signs a peace agreement with the guerrillas. Allows the Tutsi refugees to retun and a joint Hutu/Tutsi government.
    2,500 UN Troops are deployed to the capital to oversee the agreements implementation
