Groundbreak for the Whitney Center started at an undefined date in September 2010. This building would serve as a multi-purpose retail building and would later house students as well as local businesses.

At an undefined date in August, according to the Rowan University official website, the Rowan Boulevard's first major retailer, Barnes and Nobel had its ground breaking ceremony. According to the website, the store would be 36,000-square-foot and hold over 75,000 volumes of books and materials. The building would also include a starbucks indoor and outdoor cafe.

Moving from Haddonfield to Glassboro, Forever Young Emporium is planning to move in some time between April 2013- August 2013. The original move in date for the store was March, but they are hoping that it will be sooner rather than later. Its a retro store with a modern appeal.
