  • Punic Wars- 1st War

    Punic Wars- 1st War
    264-241 BC (1st Punic War)- This was the first war took place in Sicily between Mamertines of Messina and Hiero II of Syracuse. The Mamertines betrayed the Carthaginians army by entreating the Roman Sentate.
  • Punic Wars- 2nd War

    Punic Wars- 2nd War
    218- 201 BC (2nd Punic War)- This war was the most remebered from Hannibal crossing the Alps. His army invaded Italy and defeated the Roman Army.
  • Punic Wars- 3rd War

    149-146 BC (3rd Punic War)- This involved Carthage and ending the city. Carthage suffered raids from Numidia.
  • Roman Republic

    Roman Republic
    509-27 BC- The Roman Republic first started when they overthrew the Roman Monarchy. The replacement of the government was elected by the citizens and advised by the senate.
  • The Laws of the Twelve Tables

    The Laws of the Twelve Tables
    450 BC- The beginning of the Twelve Tables were a result of a long struggle between patricians and plebians. The struggle of developing the Twelve Tables was the basic rights for all Roman citizens.
  • Macedonian Wars- 1st War

    214-205 BC- Rome dispacted forces across Adriatic. The Roman legions were scared of the Macedonian forces and seize minor territories.
  • Macedonian Wars- 2nd War

    Macedonian Wars- 2nd War
    200-196 BC- Ambassadors from Pergamon and Rhodes brought evidence to King Philip V. This "treaty" resulted in Rome starting the 2nd Macedonian War. It was indicisive that Rome had the victory of that war.

    172-168 BC- Perseus of Macedon tried to restore the influence and moved agressively on his neighbors. Later he has an assassination plan againt the ally of Rome and that's what started the 3rd Macedonian War.
  • Roman Empire Begins

    East 330-1453- This occured after the Republic Period of the ancient Roman civilization. This was a form of government and large territories like the Mediterrianean, Africa, and Asia.
  • Caesar Controls Rome

    49-44 BC- He played a critical role in events that led to the Roman Republic.Caesar was able to extend Rome's territory to the English Channel and Rhine. He was the first Roman General to build a bridge across Rhine

    27 BC- AD 14- He was the person who first founded the Roman Empire. During his ruling, Rome was largely free from conflict for more than 2 centuries. He was also able to emlarge the Roman Empire.

    4th and 5th Centuries- The fall of the Roman Empire first occured when the dissolution of the Western Roman Empire happened. When the Fall of the Roman Empire happened is when the European Middle Ages first started.

    753 BC- Two twins named Romulus and Remus were abanoned by their parents at birth. The parents put the boys in a basket to have them float down River Tiber and later they were discovered by a female wolf. The wolf nursed the boys until they were taken in by a shepard.
