    washing machine was a great invention that was made during the 1920's. It was made more advanced and became more common in every household. This made life much more easier for the women and children back then as it made it alot more easier and accessible to clean clothes rather than, them cleaning each and every individual clothing by hand. Which made their life much more easier.

    Prohibition act, did lead to the government paying off many of its tax revenue and it greatly increased government spending. It also caused alot of people to be angry and upset with the rules and many people who used to drink at this time switched to opium,cocaine and other dangerous substance when they previously wouldn't. Many people lost jobs for alcohol buisness related things i.e barrel makers, truckers etc. Overall there were good/bad with prohibition but the bad outweighed the good.

However, with this industrialised device automated exchanges allowed for personalised numbers to be dialled from home and directly connected.Which made life much easier for them at that time.

    women get the right to vote this was a great step for women to vote and be treated equally. They were seen as people rather than slaves. It gave equity and served justice. Usually at this time women were usually met with strong resistance and they struggled for basic human rights. But with ability to vote they were being treated more equally, as well as hopes for improvements in education, healthcare and employement aswell as fighting against injustice.

Billions of dollars were lost wipeing out thousands of investors. In this aftermath, America and the rest of the industrialized world spiraled downwards into the great deppression.

    A time of great deppression and hardship i rate it a -2 for this as Canada was affected Severly. Millions of Canadians were left unemployed,hungry and usually homeless. This decade was also known as the Dirty thirties due to a crippling drought in the prairies, as well as Canada's dependence on raw materials and farm exports. There were widespread losses of jobs and savings transformed the country. For this i have to rate the great deppression -2 as a time of great hardship and depression.
