    Sugar Act
    When: 1764
    Who: Prime Minister Geroge Grenville and the Colonists.
    Where: Massacheuts, New York and Pennsylvania.
    Why: The sugar act was passed because of the Bpston Tea Party.
    What: Tax on Sugar
    How: Whenever you would transport tea you would get taxed.

  • Quartering Act Passed

    Quartering Act Passed
    March 1765
    Under the terms of this legislation, each colonial assembly was directed to provide for the basic needs of soldiers stationed within its borders. This law was expanded in 1766 and required the assemblies to billet soldiers in taverns and unoccupied houses. During the Stamp Act unrest of 1765 and early 1766, increasing numbers of soldiers were stationed in or near American cities.

    Townshend Act Passed
    The Townshend Acts imposed a series of taxes on all goods imported into the United States. These taxes were instituted for a couple of reasons. First, was the ongoing need to raise revenue. However, more important than the revenue was the desire of the parliament to show they had the right to impose the taxes.

    The Boston Massacre
    Who: Between the British colonists in Boston and some Boston colonists.
    What: A fight between the colonists and soliders in Boston. The soliders killed 5 of the colonists.
    When: March 5, 1770
    Why: Their was a riot started by the colonists and apparentally someone threw rock at a British solider and that solider fired his weapon and killed a colonist.
    Where: In Boston, Mass.
    How: People got overheated and just went off on each other.

    Who: The Colonists and British Tea Ships
    What: Making the Boston Harbor into the largest cup of tea ever.
    When: December 16, 1773
    Why: The colonists were fed up with the taxation without representation.

    How: The colonists dressed up as Native Americans and raided the ships that the tea was on and dumped over $1 Million dollars (In todays cash) of tea.

    Why : The British over taxed colonist
    How: The British could tolerate strongly worded letters or trade boycotts. They could put up with defiant legislatures and harassed customs officials to an extent.
