    Proclamation Line of 1763
    The Proclamation of 1763 forbid colonists from settling west of the Appalachian Mountains to avoid being confronted by the Native Americans. It was also a to help stabilize Great Britains Native North American empire so that they could trade, settlement, and ;and purchases on the western frontier. I rate this a 6 because it had an affect on the revolution but not as much.

    French and Indian War
    England and the American colonists fought agaisnt the French. The Proclamation of 1763 forbit colonists to settle west of the Appalachian Mountains so that they would be confronted by the Native Americans. In order for England to pay for the war they decided to pay off their debt by taxing colonists. I rate this a 4 because it affected the british government but also helped them.

    The Stamp Act was a protest against new British taxation. All of the representatives were from the British colonies. The colonists didnt like the idea so they boycotted against British goods. Everyone had to pay the tax. I rate this document 5 because it was a big deal for the British and affected the colonies but it didnt last very long.
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    A riot of British soliders and colonial protestors. Both were arguing back and forth until the british shot into the crowd of protestors. This resulted in the death of five colonists. I rate this a 9 because this was the leading event to the Revolutionary War.

    The tea act was an act to get rid of the extra tea that the British had. It wasnt an act to raise the price of tea and didnt impose any new taxes. The remaining tea was sent to the colonies and had a reduction in price. I rate this 7 because it led to the Boston Tea Party.

    Boston Tea Party
    A political, staged protest by a group of intellectuals, The Sons of Liberty. They rebelled against the tax on tea by dressing up as Mohawk Indians and poured all of the tea into the Boston Harbor. Also they poured tar and put feathers over the british soldiers. I rate this 8 because it was one of the events that led to the revolution.

    Intolerable Acts
    The Intolerable Act was an act to punish the colonists for the Boston Tea Party. There were three acts, the first was no trial by jury in the colonies, the second was the colonists were forced to house and feed english soliders, and the last act was the blockade of Boston which means no ships were allowed to leave the harbor. I rate this as a 5 because it proved that the British werent going to mess around.
  • First Continental Congress

    Representatives from twelve of the colonies met in Philadelphia to address the Intolerable Acts.They wanted to consider the idea of boycotting the British trade and rights.They sent a letter to King George III asking him to repeal the Acts but he didnt. I rate this a 4 because i think that King George should have done something about the situation.

    Lexington and Concord
    The British soldiers were given orders to capture and destroy military supplies. They were confronted by farmers and milita members on the way, but destroyed them. With the defeat many New England colonists volunteered to fight. I rate this a 7 because this was a major event for the British.

    The Declaration of Independence stated that the thirteen colonies wanted to independent from the British. A committee was formed to discuss and vote on the document. I rate this document a 9 because it had a major affect on the colonies and how the the world is today.

    The delegates met again to discuss the battle that happened in Massachusetts. The vote was split in half on the issue of independence. Most of the delegates decided to go with the independence and set up a committee to write the declaration. I rate this a 7 because it a pretty big affect on todays life.

    It was an intellectual movement of the European and American colonies. It was to understand the natural world and humankind's place without turning to religious beliefs. I rate this a 6 because it dealt a lot with the american colonies.
