    The French and Indian War

    PictureThe French and Indian War was between the New French colonies and the Brisith American colonies.The war started with a dispute over territory. The dispute later turned to violence. Great Britain fought with the american colonies against France and the Indians. The war ended with the Treaty of Paris. The rate is 6 because after the war Great Britain doubled in debt and that's why they passed all the acts in the colonies that led to the American Revolution.

    The Proclamation Line was made after Great Britain gained land in North America from France due to the French and Indian War. It's purpose was to restrict the colonists from settlling west of the Appalachian Mountains to avoid problems with the Native Americans. The rate is 5 because it the colonists completely ignored the line and they didn't do what England had ordered them to do, so they became a little independent.

    The Stamp Act was a direct act passed by the British Parliament in 1765 that required all legal documents, newspapers, magazines and other papers to be produced on stamped paper that carried a revenue stamp. The rate is 8 because it angered the colonists, they thought they shouldn't be taxed and it also helped enable the organized colonial resistance against british rule.

    British troops were stationed in Boston to support and protect colonial officials who were appointed by the British King. A group of those troops was verbally harassed by a mob of colonists and had things thrown at them. So they opened fire into the crowd and wounded and killed people. The rating is 8 because it angered the colonists, they saw the bad treatment from the English and they wanted to be free of british control.

    The tea act was an act that helped the East India Company to get rid of the surplus tea they had. And the colonies had to pay a tax for the tea. The rate is 8 because it culminated the colonists' anger at the british and their acts. As a consequence, the Boston Tea Party occurred and that was one of the most important actions made by the colonists that led the way to revolution.

    It was an act of protest against Britain due to the taxes they put on tea and the East India Company that had a monopoly on the tea. It was made by a group of people known as "The Sons of Liberty" disguised as indians in Boston. These people dumped three shiploads of tea into the Boston Harbor. The rating is 8 because it paved the way for other acts of protests from the colonists against Britain to be independent of their control over the colonies.

    They were a series of laws passed by the British Parliament in the Thirteen Colonies. These acts were made in response to the Boston Tea Party as a punishment for what the colonists had done to the tea. The rate of this is 8 because the colonists saw these acts as a violation of their rights and this is what made them organize the First continental Congress.

    The First Continental Congress was a convention of delegates from 12 of the 13 Colonies that met in Philadelphia to discuss the Intolerable Acts. They asked King George III to repeal the acts, but he later on refused. The rate of this is 9 because it was the first time that people from all the colonies met to discuss what was best for them and fight for their rights and this strongly helped pave the wave for the American Revolution.

    Lexington and Concord were the first battles fought in the American Revolutionary War. The British army was given secret orders to destroy weapons that were supposedly stored by the Massachusetts militia at Concord. The battle started in Lexington and then moved to Concord.The British troops defeated the colonists. The rating of this is 10 because it gave confidence to the colonists and gave them their own sense of national pride and even though they lost, they still volunteered to fight.

    The Second Continental Congress was a second convention of delegates from the Thirteen Colonies that met again in Philadelphia soon after the American Revolutionary War had begun. There, they talked about and moved towards independence.Here they also agreed to create the Continental Army. The rate is 10 because they talked about independence and they decided they were going to fight for it and they also talked about how they would defeat the british army.

    Tired of British control in the 13 colonies of America, the colonists decided to become independent from Great Britain. Congress finally voted on indepence a couple of days before the declaration was ratified. Thomas Jefferson composed the declaration of indepence, congress edited it. The rating is 10 because this document is what finally made the 13 colonies independent for good.
