    French & Indian War
    War for land competition and control over North American trade routes. Britain spent a lot of money on the war. Britain wasnt going to lose against the French. Britain now owned most of North America.
  • Proclamation Line

    Proclamation Line
    The proclamation was a imaginative line placed on the Appalacian Mountains. It was against the law for the colonists to settle on the other side of it. It would be difficult to accidentaly settle on the other side but it would open up more trade routes for the colonies. Trade routes like the Mississippi and Ohio rivers.

    Boston Massacre
    5 men were shot in a riot against the Red Coats. The colonists were assaulting the soldiers and they opened fire. The colonists blamed the Colonel. John court defended the soldiers in court and they won.
  • Boston Tea Party

    Boston Tea Party
    Colonists dressed up as Mohawk Indians, boarded a ship with tea and dumped all the tea into the harbor.The amount of tea that was dumped was worth from 1 to 3 million dollars. The British were already in debt and were more aggravated with this doing.

    The Intolerable Acts were retaliation to the Boston Tea Party. The colonists just costed Britain even more money. They closed down the Boston Port. Took away their right to have their own government. Took away their right for trials. Also gave the French in Quebec rights that they wanted.

    The Briatains discover that the colonist are trying to form militias. They set out to capture the supplies they have to be able to fight gunpowder, ammo. They were caught on the way there and colonists were notified. A battle broke out an the war started fro there

    The declaration was a break up letter to Britain. It told them they were going to become their own country. It also explained why they wanted to leave. The taxes were unfair and they had no rights. The British were not happy about this so they sent more troops to fight.
