    Proclamation of 1763
    The Proclamation of 1763 was introduced in order to prevent the colonists to settle west of the Appalachian Mountains. It was to set prevent conflict with the american Indians. The colonists reacted with anger, some refused and still settled west.

    Sugar Act
    This was a law passed by the British Parliament in 1764 raising duties on foreign refined sugar imported by the colonies so as to give British sugar growers in the West Indies a monopoly on the colonial market. The colonists were upset because the king taxed them without their consent.
