  • Treaty of Paris- 1

    It was signed in Paris to officially end the Revolutionary War between the French and Indians.
  • Proclamation Act- 2

    Proclamation Act- 2
    King George III established the Proclamation to keep peace with the Indians. The Indian's got the west side land of the Appalachian Mountain. Even the people that settled there first had to move to the East side land.
  • Sugar Act- 3

    The parliament passed the act for the colonists to pay tax for sugar.
  • Stamp Act Congress- 4

    Stamp Act Congress- 4
    First meeting held in New York of representatives from the American and British colony.

    The British passed this act that forces the colonists to house and feed British soldiers who are in North America.

    The colonists had to pay tax for every stamp on a piece of paper that was sent.

    The Stamp Act Congress passed this document that British had no right to tax the colonists.

    The British Parliament voted to reapeal the Stamp Act after colonists protests.

    Passed after the Stamp Act was repealed. It was a response from the British after the Stamp Act was repealed. The British stated that they still had the same authority in the colonies as they do in Britain.

    Charles Townshend, a British parliament, had taxes put on glass, paint, oil, lead, paper and tea that were imported in to the colony.
  • Boston Massacre- 11

    A fight in the street between a couple of colonists and British soldiers, 3 died on the spot and 8 were wounded.

    A group of leading colonists that warned each other about British attacks and made plans for the future for the colony.
