    Who issued it: King George III Who did it affect: The colonists, the Natives, and Britain. When: 1763 What did the Proclamation do to the colonies?: Forbidden them from traveling west of the Appalachian Mountains. How is this a cause that led to war?: The colonists still felt like Great Britain was controlling them.

It affected the colonists because, after the French and Indian War, Great Britain was in a lot of debt, so to come back from that, they placed new tariffs on items such as coffee, textiles, wine, sugar, and molasses. How is this a cause that led to war?: This cause led to war because the Colonists believed it was unconstitutional for Great Britain to tax them.

    Who: British Troops and Colonists Where: Colonies When: March 5th 1770 What happened and why: British troops opened fire on the crowd and killed 5 Colonists. How is this a cause that led to war? This led to a war because after the troops killed 5 colonists this made the colonies angry, which led to more tension.

    When was it enacted: May 10th 1773 How did it affect the colonists? This made it so the colonists could only buy tea from Great Britain. How is this a cause that led to war?: Colonial merchants were no longer allowed to sell tea, and the colonists decided to dump a bunch of tea overboard which made Great Britain angry.

How is this a cause that led to war? This led to the war because it was again, Great Britain making laws for the Colonists.
