    Dear Diary,
It is 1765 and the British has put apon us another act, called the Stamp Act. This act states that there is now a tax on all paper documents. One time it got really bad and confusing that it ended up with 5 colonists dead, known as the Boston Massacre.
  • The Tea Act

    The Tea Act
The Tea Act allowed colonists to import only British tea from India, the tea was taxed but much cheaper. The colonists saw this as a trick to accept being taxed without representation. This helped lead to the war because the colonists didn't like the idea of being tricked.
  • Boston Tea Party

    Boston Tea Party
The Boston Tea party was when the Sons and Daughters of Liberty dressed as Mohawk Indians and snuck on to British East India Co. ships and then dumped the tea into the Boston Harbor. They did this to show them that they cannot be pushed around and tax them anymore. They also did this to show them who they are and that they were more then upset and nothing coud fix that, not even lowering taxes.

    Intolerable Acts
The Intolerable Acts was the punishments for Massachusetts, Boston Tea Party. They consisted of banning town meetings, closing the Boston Harbor until the tea that was thrown overboard was paid for, and new quartering acts. The colonists were completely outraged and felt these punishments were way too harsh. Other colonies fully supported Massachusetts and really got it that these 13 colonies are going to stick together. Also they held the First Continental Congress.
