  • Bacons Rebellion

    Virginia settlers came together and rebelled against the rule of governor William Barkley. The cause were the taxes and many colonists were mad about this.

    Time period where religious thoughts were passed through the 13 colonies in the 1740s. This event changed many perspectives of other religions. The division of the colonies caused this

    Plan of forming a united government for the 13 colonies by Benjamin Franklin. Thought that this would be able to improve the colonies in many ways.

    War fought between the british and the new french. This war was fought because each side wanted to gain control of the Ohio River Valley.

    Pontiac leader was furious and wanted to get back at the British so planned an attack on one of the forts. This attack was planned because the natives were angry and reacted like this.

    British came up with a boundary marked in the App. Mountains. Prohibited colonists to settle west of the point marked after the French and Indian War. It was a way to settle peace with the natives

    Colonists were mad with the British after all the acts were passed. Few colonists decided to dress up as natives and dump the tea as a statement and a way of protest.

    Official treaty between the Old world and New world. This treaty put an end to the French and Indian war. The British recognized the independence the colonists need and decided to sign it.
